You can get memory later, try dealram.com for quality ram at good price. Superdrive can be pretty expensive to do internally mcetech.com will do it for around $300, but you could get a faster...

What are the specs of your ibook? I have run my 1.07 Ghz iBook with a variety of lcd and crt monitors spanning and have had no issues. do you have the Radeon Video Card?

I have been using the mod for over a year on my eMac, and prob. 8 months on my iBook G4 1 Ghz.

Works well on both.

Ok, it turned out I actually downloaded a few bad dmg files in a row. That was the problem. I also upgraded to Panther, and I can't believe how awesome it is....ok geek time :-)

Awesome, running 1280x960 on eMac, 800x600 on a tv for now (no $ for a second screen) but the 800x600 looks great running mplayer on a 32 inch tv while still working on the eMac.

Help! Can't mount a .dmg file 616 Views / 3 Replies  
I'm having trouble, I can't mount any dmg files to install software. It gives me an error saying "failed to mount due to error 95. (no mountable files sytems)

Any ideas?
