I second that JLL. Mac OS X's AA is much more clearer than Cleartype. Seems to me that XP's Cleartype just kinda blurs the fonts to get a more rounded look (layman's terms).

I'm running XP with Cleartype too on an old 15" CRT monitor and its much better with it IMHO. And as KellyHogan said, its system-wide. Cleartype in IE too
