I can't see any real point for this feature at all. If you want to adjust the volume thats what your reciever / Amplifier is for.

Failing that use analogue and be happy, sounds like you don't...

After having various issues with my 15" 1.67 PB, Apple have offered to swap it for a brand new15" 2.16 GHZ MBP with the 7200rpm drive :D

The computer shuts off after about 3 seconds, not even enough time for the HD to spin up fully, so getting a cd in wouldn't work because it shuts off too quickly.
