I used the dashboard, and the widgets seem to eat up ~200mb of RAM when inactive for several hours. They were the default widgets. A Similar situation in Konfabulator only took up an odd 90.

IMO i don't feel that tiger made such a large difference.

Performance-wise, my iBook runs the same on both OSes.

Spotlight is merely a nice feature, but i never use it. Quicksilver is the way...

Also avoid placing it on a carpet or soft surface. Something does seem strange about the hard drive spinning up more...
