I went to the Apple store today and wanted to see how the EDGE network performed on the iPhone. I turned off wifi and tried browsing over EDGE. I will tell you that the result was not spectacular....

I would say go for the iSight, unless they offer you a 1G stick of ram. Ram is always cheap and you can usually find a good deal. The iSight, on the other hand, cannot be found cheaper elsewhere.
