Yes sorry I meant Get Info or in the Finder. The version now reports as 10.1.5, I think I've done a restart since last checked when it showed 10.1.4 immediately after update.

My DVI 12inch is a Combo but came with iDVD. I think they just use a standard disk image to set up the machines.

Have an odd problem with the I-beam cursor in Powerpoint.

If I switch from slide view to outline view, the I-beam disappears so I can't select or insert text. It reappears if I do a file action...

Tried Panther on 12 and 15inch PBs in store yesterday. On both machines clicking 'more info...' on 'About This Mac' screen didn't run the system profiler. Button just glowed blue as it was clicked.

This is very helpful, especially tip about trying saving as an older Windows version.

TIFF comes in mac and Windows order where byte order changes I think, so yes images should be fine as jpegs.

I go through exactly the same process but using Office98 under OS 8.6. Never any probs with red Xs transferring them to PCs.
