Look at the upper right corner of the screen and tilt the device so that you're looking from an extreme angle. There's a line going thru the whole right side that's really bright....

As for the speed, the difference is beyond words. Startup down from 30 seconds to 12. Apps launch instantaneously and everything downloads super fast. I highly recommend it despite the smaller size...
