Oh my. The number of times i have requested that bug be fixed. It is a wonder if they actually do listen. Option-delete in every macintosh app is a great thing, but MS choose to ignore it.

You really don't want to convert MP3 --> AAC at all. Your moving from one lossy standard to another, which will end up with crap sound quality.

Re-encode from CDs, or leave as is.

It was very fragile, and I am very glad that it was changed. I have had to send two iPods back with broken pins inside the iPod due to this. This way, no circular turning, better reliability etc.
