I have had no problems using auto-switching with my 12" pb. I have used straight through cables to connect to network printer to trouble shoot printing issues and had no problems.

I have the vTech 5.8ghz phones and I have no problems using them with my AE. And with my 802.11b linksys router/ap I experienced no interference problems either. I would say that you should be o.k.

I will second the recommendation for the iGo Juice. I use mine at home and on the road travelling for work and it is GREAT! It evens seems to make the pb run cooler. If you have a second charger...

I use an old 17" Apple Studio Display(CRT) and it does a really good job. I have also tried it out with a couple Samsung LCD's and it looked fine.

As far as hd life I have never had a problem...
