I can run my laptop (10.3.9) through the airport card in my G5 and it is faster than safari on G5 (10.4)

what gives. No pithhelmet or any othrer hacks...

I dont have any sharing services turned on and my computer still wont automatically sleep. I have even turned of Apple Talk. It used to work in 10.1

I think implimation is still a bit flaky.

If you have more than one RAM chip take out one and see if it stops the crashing ( or the other one).
Also run the hardware diagnosic software that comes with the mac.

The DVD option doesnt seem to allow further files to be written to the disc and the iso9669 option only allow CD rewriting.

I held the command s keys at startup ran fsck -y. it fixed some errors.
Typed exit to return to startup, and the sleep has worked...
