openening the fonts [and colors[ as suggested gives the choice to change 5 fonts:
mailbox......messagelist.......message.......note.......fix width
changing any of these does not change the text...

If one clicks on mail [in the dock] and then clicks on g-mail at the left site of the screen [with a right click!] a menu opens where one can edit "g-mail"
click then: fonts and colors...

When i just started using mail[in the dock], I found all my labels of g-mail also on "mail'.
For some strange reason they disappeared one day!

Again on of the very nice features, dragging to the icon"mail" lost much of its value as dragging anything [word/sentence] to the subject-line seems not to be possible / solvable by Mac?

one seems to be able to do so [exporting addresses/groups] only with safari browser
chrome will not allow this for some unknown...

The beautiful feature i just discovered is that one can drag any selected test for example from an open an e-mail [safari,firefox etc] to "mail" at the dock and send then the mail to any address....
