azrich, Microsoft is already doing this with their Continuum capability on the Lumia 950. It's in its infancy (you can't run two apps side by side on the full size monitor) but pretty impressive...

I've never had any issues with ebay iphone 3 or 4 series screens related to resolution (I've never bought iphone 5 or 6 screens). The iphone 4 retina screens looked great.

Another useful tip- pressing command-1, command-2, command-3 etc will open the first, second, and third sites in your bookmark bar, respectively (goes up to 9).
