a) It goes away when I quit and restart Safari. Other browsers are affected, but again, quiting and restarting fix it
b) I installed 10.4 on my spare hard drive and the problem showed up...

Every so often, when I'm just browsing around, my network connection just hangs. I know it's not my external connection, because even connections to localhost don't work. This is on a G5 with 10.4.4...

I'm using the Airport card in my G5 to act as a base station. As far as I can tell, the settings under System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet Sharing don't allow the SSID to not broadcast.

That's a common misconception. There's still only 2 DVI ports on the card, but each port can carry 2 DVI signals. This is necessary to drive the 30", because there's not enough bandwidth to drive it...

Mine is also showing a slight chirping noise. I have a 9600xt, but it sounds like it's coming from the power supply. It usually shows up under high loads in Safari, but not other high load situations.

I think everyone that took Apple's offer to split the orders has a 9/17 date. The only variation would be those that ordered the kit separately. That said, I'll eat my hat if it ships on the 17th....
