Happens every time with certain discs, I've tried the same discs in two other G4's both running OSX, no problems.

These are older CD's, so no CP...the only thing funky...

The disks show up fine in other G4's.

It's not all CD's, just some (but a pretty high percentage).


Could this possibly be a bad CD drive? Any other...

I'm in a similar situation. IT keeps telling us they can't get the Macs to work, and I'm a little hesitant to tell them how to configure their network.
