I don't think battery level affects it; it's happened to me ( Rev. B 12", 10.3.4 ) with pretty much full charge; I think it can happen ANY time you're running off battery and it goes into sleep mode.

A 30% speed hike on my 12", and with a faster bus to boot. Not to mention AEx built in. Seems like a pretty good upgrade to me!

Ahh...the black problem. Do what I did, and buy a second skin designed for the 12" iBook - it's just the right colour! I got mine from the Apple UK online shop, as I did for all the gear I bought.

I went through the Apple Store UK, which sources it's hardware in the same way as the one in Belgium, I'd assume; the Powerbooks come from Taiwan, and peripherals seem to come from Holland.
