Instead, save all photos to iPhoto. Then erase the device at:
Settings > General > Reset...

So assuming you have eSATA, you can attach a Qio. The Qio ships with an eSATA adapter, either PCI or EC.

Yup, you want an ethernet modem (and yes, it does still modulate and demodulate on DSL). Once it's ethernet, an Airport Express or Extreme or 3rd party router will handle it from there.
