Strange, I did the disk copy using the restore tab - took several hours to copy, but the resulting disk was unable to boot the MBP. Oh, it had what appeared to be all the files, but still no boot.

I thought you'd have to have a "network drive" attached to a Mac that has Leopard installed? Also, I'm curious, how do you have the ReadyNAS formatted? FAT32?

After much searching on the web, I came across SharePoints, and this works. I can create new shares and make them work with SMB sharing. I just do a search on the XP laptop for workgroup computers...
