The problem with the update for the iBooks.app was a completely different origin: my wife sent me iBooks.app from her account, hence the iPhone and iPad needed...

However, it is just my PowerMac. The MacBook and MacBook Pro do not suffer from it, there for I cannot say Leopard sucks, not at all, but I think we will get some serious bug fixes in 10.5.2 though)
