I read an article (rather disappointing) on a 17" lcd cracking:

http://macnet2.com/more.php?id=322_0_1_0_M

And the guy says that his screen tilts when the base is tilted. I didn'thave this with my 15" so I wonder if this is a problem. I tried this, and when the angle is about 45 deg. the screen starts to tilt. Try this please?

I just checked the left side "hinge" of the screen and I see a tiny gap in the frame of the "C" shaped part (no better way to express it, it's above the esc key where it connects the screen to the base). I apply a bit of pressure with my finger and the gap closes. Right side there is no gap.

Is this a precursor to a cracked lcd?
Getting a bid worried, here.

I wouldn't be worried yet really...this guy's problem certainly seems to be isolated and I highly doubt it'll recur much more, if any. Just continue treating it with care, just as if you hadn't noticed anything, because in all honesty I bet it's just paranoia.
