My 867 mHz Pwrbk w/1gig memory shuts off after brief start up w/spinning gear. Running OSX 10.4.9. This pwrbk has had everything replaced in it but the kitchen sink. I have back up,but worked on project all day and computer crashed before back up could be performed.
SOS! Anyone with a life preserver will be welcomed!

If you've got another Mac, or can get access to one, put it in Target Disk Mode, hook it up to another Mac and retrieve your files.

Try doing a safe boot (hold shift down as you start up the computer and keep it held down until the blue splash screen with the loading bar appears).
