I got photos app synced across Mac and Laptop. But when I drag some images from hardrive to my desktop Photos app, they in fact don't sync with the laptop. They just sit there for days only on desktop.
I did find a word around to force them to the laptop, but real annoying. Any ideas on this?
icloud photo stream, libary, and sharing, are all checked across the board, so it should sync efficiently and work, but does not.

Photos that weren't taken with an idevice don't go in the photostream. Is that how you are syncing?

That doesn't add them to the photostream.

kevs, read up on My Photostream. That will (hopefully) clear up a lot of this problem for you.
Key points: sharing photos among your Apple devices depends on iCloud. All the devices you want to share to/from must have iCloud enabled and be logged in to iCloud. It can take a little while (depending on your various devices' Internet connections) for pictures to propagate from where they started to where you want them.
Cheers.

thanks G.
If take a photo on iphone it goes everywhere.. which is great.
But if I add a photo to desktop from hardrive in Photos, it wont go to icloud.
I read whole article on Photostream, thanks.
I don't see Photostream anywhere. There is no Photostream in photos on desktop nor iphone. Just Photos and All Photos, those are the key ones I look at.. There is Live, people, favorites etc, I don't pay attention to those. But Photostream does not exist in Photos on desktop or iphone. Not there.

Go to Settings|iCloud, then click on the Options button for Photos. My Photo Stream is one of the options, along with iCloud Photo Library, and iCloud Photo Sharing. This is true in OS X and iOS.
I think you're going to have to play with how you manipulate and/or store photos on your Mac to find the best way to ensure you'll get those photos shared the way that works for you.

You need to enable iCloud Photo Library.
