Caution: these images are really F***ing big but nevertheless one reason OS X rocks

I believe a bit over 50 apps were open, imovie was closed because I couldn't get to the dock with it open. The average cpu usage was about 70%.

yes, i was playing q3 and rtcw in the background too!

1.2MB and 881kb for those images? You should use that copy of Photoshop in your dock and compress them down a little more. That plus your server is damn slow, it took forever to load those on a T3. How much RAM in your DP?

Yeah, just as I warned, it's only a 128kbps upload so it won't be fast.

Congratulations on your 1,000th post.

I don't see how/why you'd play RtCW, Q3, and EV:N all at the same time, though.

Good thing the Finder in Jaguar is getting better multithreading, my PC whips my Macs around in multitasking and launch times. Mounting an iDisk or waiting for a CD to spin up makes it hang more often than I'd like. Only a few more months... Is launching hundreds of apps supposed to prove something? Looking at my machines, I have 7 apps open on the Mac and 8 on the PC. Same thing with the guys that brag about uptime, I don't get it.

Edit: speeling, should have used OmniWeb

When I was saving some scans from Photoshop earlier today and had an audio CD in the drive, the save dialog box came up and didn't load all the way. The CD drive in my TiBook spun up, took a couple of seconds, then the box rendered fully. Happens quite a bit on my machine and a couple of others at work. <img border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" title="" src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" />

That's about as much as I feel like wasting my time doing

Can someone count it up for me?

(btw in all ways I'm sorry about that overlaying watermark, but it was the only way to get anything)

try running RC% and all of those apps and then lets see how far you go. I can get every thing up and running but it is damn slow with 200% used.

My XP has a terminal window.

I never have to use it because the OS is refined to the point of not needing to use a 1950's text interface.

OSX users still need the terminal in order to empty their trash.

"Not enough privileges?" hahaha

sudo your root.

You had just replied to other threads insulting me, I assumed you were doing the same here.
