That would be sooo cool if these boards had at least one great-great-grand-father.

And you can't cheat by making your grandpa/ma register today.

Instead of guessing appearances why don't you try guessing the ages of members (if you don't know them already).?

I'll give it a whirl. Some members who come to mind, and my guess as to their ages:

Shmerek: 31
maxelson: 34
casecom: 35
andi*pandi: 28
cheerios: 21
mikeM32: 30
FatherOCN: 12
nonhuman: 25
scaught: 28
daimoni: 32
ChaChi boy: 16
rjenkinson: 37
--erik --: 20
Demonhood: 25
scottB: 26

In no particular order. I've left off a few members whose ages I know. Otherwise my list is off the top of my head (where the phantom cap lurks).

I'm 34--will be 35 in January. It's OK Mr. Bursey; I'm told I look young for my age.

*ping!*
DBursey apparently has better age insight than I do physical.
Actually, I am 34 in February, so I'll give it to you. Born in '68. I am a little surprised there are so many of us of like age. Pleased, but surprised.
And I'll just add in here: THERE AIN'T NO WAY IN HELL L'IGNORANTE IS IN HIS 40s. NO WAY. NONE. It's a lie. I am sure of it.

I'm going to pull your head off because I don't like your head.

Phew, glad you folk started the bidding at 43.

Lemme see, I think I stopped counting years at 30 ish and went to a years + nnn months format thereafter. Now since my mental arithmetic is not so hot...now where did I leave my spectacles?

PS a lot of my mates hope they can still windsurf at 70, Many olduns do. But forward loop?

Cool, not everybody here is still in school.
Three more years and I can join AARP.
Never thought I'd make it past 30. The 70's/80's were tough on my system...

I recently turned 50 (haven't yet joined AARP). But the oldest Mac user I know personally is my dad. He's 78, and bought himself a nice G4 two years ago. Uses it to do DTP.

I don't think I've known any Mac users over 50. Where I worked recently there were a few women in thier 40's. My brothers best friend since High School is mid 40's and is a graphic artist on the Mac. Most I've personally known were within 10 yrs younger or older than myself pretty-much.

I sell lots of Macs to people who are over 50; in fact, I would say at least 50% off the top of my head. Many of them have been using Macs since day one. As for me, I joined AARP 4.5 years ago, although I struggled with that then. Now, my youngest daughter is 22, and I'll be a grandfather next August.

My dad's 71 and uses his venerable 6100. I've helped an 84 year old woman with a snow iMac that attends his church--and she runs it @ 1024x768!

aw crap, thought my Grandad would win this one, but getting to the end of the thread I find it not to be.
He turned 79 at the end of Sept. He's been using a Performa 5200CD since we bought it for him new in 199x (whenever it came out). I know, poor choice, but he stuck with it, and just last week bought himself a brand new iMac DV SE (graphite, 600MHz etc).

He was online in 4 minutes, and is also fascinated with Mac OS X. He's also currently trying to hack a way of getting After Dark to run with Mac OS 9.2.

The short shall inherit the earth. Just you wait. You won't see us coming. We'll pop out from under tables, beds, and closets in hordes. So you're tall, huh? You won't be so tall when I chew off your ankles. Mofo

hey. i'm not such an old has-been as i thought! i think it's the fact that so many of you talk of going to "school" when referring to what we, over the pond, would call "college" or "university" made me think i was in the midst of a load of acne-fied youth.

madra is 36 physically- about 18 mentally.
