..oof.
Just goes to show that, regardless of politics, Democrats are no more immune to tastelessness than Republicans.

I was temporarily blinded!
I didn't know he actually played the guitar?
Of course, Clinton never really played the Sax...that was Monica's job,
and I could have sworn it was the picallo she played.
Wait, no, it was the HarMONICA.... hehe.

I had read that kerry had played in a band in Yale. Time tracked several of hiss ex bandmates and one them said, "John Kerry was in our band?"

To be fair, these are wallpapers produced by Kerry fans (though one wonders whether there isn't a fifth column element at play), and accepted by the campaign for publication on the site. They weren't specifically commissioned or designed by the campaign.

Apparently he was in a band in high school. That's him on bass:
Here's the mp3
Whether all this makes him more or less cool is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

You can't even tell the difference between a bass and a regular, 6-string geetar? Horumph.

I love that "compassion" section of Bush's web site. Apparently, to Bush, "compassion" is anything that involves black people. It's as if they all need compassion because, well, they're black, the poor folks.

Sorry, I guess I didn't look too closely at that pic.
I thought he was the guy in the middle, but now that you mention it, the guy playing bass does have quite a pronounced chin.
I bow down in shame to the mighty ghost_flash...
edit: sorry, linked to the wrong pic!

Welcome to the third grade. "That's what you are, what am I"
The media say "Heil Kerry" do they? Or is that your paraphrase? And I asn't bashing, I was commenting on your terminology.

Yes. National Socialist Party. The one that went around and said, "May we please have all your guns?" We don't want you shooting yourselves, because later on we will do it for you.
That one. Yes. You got it.
The press does say, "Heil, Kerry", whenever they bash bush, and it is constant, I get this little undertoan of a very quiet, hush.... hip....hip....hooray....for.....Kerry.... BUSH! SUCKS!
Can you dig the hypocrites song man? Like wow, they are far out.

War is over. How is the war from your hole in the ground? It's cleanup time. Gotta kill those bad guys. Capture Osama Bin Louden, and then put in place a Democracy.
How's it feel to be a stalker?

The real point of either Klinton honking on his sexaphone or Kerry strumming a little "Stairway," is that both are pandering to "the young." How stupid ARE "the young," by the way. Are the MTV crowd, seeing this, jumping up and down ans screaming "yeah! You go girl! You da MAN!!" cuz the goof makes an arse of himself mangling a guitar? Again (I really want an answer) how stupid ARE young people?

Actually, Kerry plays classical guitar in his spare time. Unfortunately, this only adds to his image as a stuffed shirt. People relate better to a guy who was born with a bigger silver spoon but says stuff like "misunderestimated." And I don't say that merely to make fun of Bush - it's a genuine political talent.
I think Kerry secretly wishes he could recreate the Kennedy mystique, such that people wouldn't care about and might even be drawn to the romance of his upper-crust lifestyle. However, he just doesn't have Kennedy's charm, and I'm not sure he realizes it - his political instincts don't seem to be much better than Wesley Clark's. And even Kennedy was widely disliked in his time - my old man hated him.
I continue to believe that until the Dems find another Clinton, who could relate to average people, they'll have trouble winning, although they said the same thing about Kerry when he ran against Weld and Kerry proved everyone wrong. And even Al Gore, a stiff to end all stiffs, managed to get more votes than Bush (that's not a complaint, it's an observation). So anything could happen.
