I've been thinking of getting one of those wireless audio/video network cameras to watch the apartment when I'm away. I'm wondering if any of you use one of these, if so, which model and how well did it work with your Mac and was it easy to set up?

I use Security Spy for 3 cameras I have set up around the house. 2 cameras are the dLink DCS-G900 network cameras and the 3rd is a NTSC composite camera. Security Spy automatically records video when it detects movement. EvoCam can also be used for camera recording but I found Security Spy to be more geared for security.

If all you want to do is be able to log into a camera while away and have a look in your room I would pick any of the cameras out there and forward the necessary ports on your router. The dLink does have crappy video quality so you might want to look at others.

Another option would be to use an iSight with EvoCam's built in webserver. This would allow you to view the video remotely as well.

I'm also thinking about getting one to put on my window sill and overlook my car.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.
