Didn't watch it but I assume he blathered on about how great he is, took credit for things other people did and mentioned fake news a few times.
|
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

meanwhile, Joe Kennedy III appeared to be drooling.
Any attempt to remove whatever it was would have made things worse.

He used the word "we" four times more than the word "I"
http://dailycaller.com/2018/01/30/do...we-not-i-sotu/
A review of the president’s prepared remarks by The Daily Caller reveals he used the word “we” more than four times as many times as he said the word “I.”
President Trump used the word “I” 29 times in his speech, while using “we” 129 times. Another communal word used often by the president: “our,” which he used 104 times.

Looks like the math adds up there.... Yet he can still use "we" to take credit for things he (we?) didn't do. End the war on energy? There was no war on energy.

TRUMP: ‘‘We have ended the war on American energy — and we have ended the war on clean coal.’’
THE FACTS: Energy production was unleashed in past administrations, particularly Barack Obama’s, making accusations of a ‘‘war on energy hard to sustain. Advances in hydraulic fracturing before Trump became president made it economical to tap vast reserves of natural gas. Oil production also greatly increased, reducing imports.
Before the 2016 presidential election, the US for the first time in decades was getting more energy domestically than it imports. Before Obama, George W. Bush was no adversary of the energy industry.

Right - so do you regularly visit those places? Why would you choose to spend time getting information from a blatantly biased source? You don't end up better educated and better informed.

It seemed to me like he did in the beginning. I took that as how the rest would go and lost interest.
What makes it tougher than normal, IIUC, the reason you don't ad lib is because it hoses the media and the opposition party.
I don’t see him getting the strategy behind not doing that (hint: they do it back).

More seriously, if you count streaming, he probably did have bigger numbers.
I’d like to see retention stats though. Once I determined he wasn’t going to shit the bed, I found better things to do.

The article says it's hard to measure streaming, which would be the case for any video in the recent era. Plus the number Trump himself cited does not include streaming.
Do you only count the official feed, the news stations feed, the regurgitators... and yes, how to measure drop offs or people who just have it on while they play farmville in another tab.
How does nielson even work anymore.
