Hi all,

I have a bunch of questions, sorry if they've already been covered in other forums, I did some searching, but I guess I got lazy...here goes:

I have a Dual 2.0 G5 and my daughter has a PowerMac 7600 with 400mhz upgrade card and it does have an ethernet port, they are on different floors of the house, and I'd like to network them wirelessly, so:

1. I go from the cable, to the modem, to a wireless router, right? Then I just need wireless access points at each computer, is this right?

2. Is there an advantage to using Airport Base Station over something like a Linksys unit?

3. I'm running 10.3.5, she's running 9.2.2, is this even doable? I'd like to share the high speed internet connection with her computer, so I can actually use mine again!

I'm sure I'm missing some important things...feel free to tell me how dumb I am and this is...thanks as always.

Tom

piece of cake man, dont worry about it. best thing would be to get a couple of pci-based network cards for your macs, and a cheap netgear (or similar) router. you dont need anything apple for those machines, just make sure they have mac drivers (especially the os 9 machine)

you got it right, cable/dsl to modem to router and thats it. works great,

edit: i think the only way to use appletalk between the two would be by using an airport router, and if you decide to get an airport express later on it plays better with airport.

but hell, if you want airport express, just get it now

There's someone in my head but its not me...
