Now we have it
Florida is the only state that doesn't allow extended warranties... some moronic legistative move in the past to protect senior citizens or something.....

businesses can get AppleCare and educators...
which i am and they now deny me on the phone

so......
what aftermarket extended warranties are there?
and now i can't use tech support after 90 days
that is just ridiculous

help.... anyone... please

greg

Check around... while you can't buy an Applecare box from Apple directly (due to the utter stupidity of Florida's legislature ... I've been told on the phone while using the 1 year included warranty that you could buy the box at a random place (i.e. CompUSA) and just register Applecare that way. See if you can verify it

wow, I didn't know that about Florida. Seems pretty stupid to me.

Does this apply to even ordering by mail order?

the weird thing is that everyone else sell extended warranties on everything in this state... circuit city, etc... will sell you an extended warranty on toilet paper... if you are willing to pay for it...

why is that.... i ask you?

Check out safeware.com.

Many people feel it's better than applecare, because it covers theft and accidents.
