Hello everyone,

I have a 12" rev b 1GHz PB and am trying to use my Sony Ericcson T637 bluetooth phone to connect to the internet via a dial up provider.

I can get the phone to sync with the PB just fine, however I cannot seem to get it to dialup and connect to the internet via bluetooth.

When I intially setup the phoen with the PB it asked me to selct a driver for the phone internet connection...it listed many Sony/Ericcson drivers however none specific for the T637. I have attempted to use all of them and none seem to work. I even tried to use manual dial on the phone.

I can click connect on the PB, then the phone comes on and it shows the phone dialing the number (only for about 1-2 seconds) then the phone just hangs..no connection...

Do I need to d/l a different driver....or set it up somehow?

Please help...as anything would be better than I am getting now.

Thanks,

kris

try the sony ericsson scripts herehere
of course it's different with different service providers, but, if you have a gprs phone, you might want to try accessing directly without dialing up. that's what i do. i'm on t-mobile, and use my t616 with my powerbook to connect to the internet anywhere my phone gets a signal. this method doesn't use you minutes and it doesn't require an isp. the speed is about 33 kb/s. i followed these directions and it usually works without a hitch. that page also has information for cdma phones and dialup. good luck.
