Having some odd problems with iTunes lately. Looked around and have seen that 4.7 has had some issues but nothing related to this.

Last week, iTunes wasn't playing well with my iPod. I don't know if I had some bad files or what, but after running DiskWarrior on the iPod, I lost my music (though it was still on the hard drive).
So, I wiped it clean and was ready to start over. I have all the music, close to 30GB worth, on an external drive. I tried changing the iTunes folder to that one, but it wouldn't read. I then tried to import the music into iTunes. It kept locking up after about 100 songs were added.
I've tried just about everything else, I trashed the plist, I copies the 30GB of music back to the HD and I even idexed the 6,000+ songs and iTunes keeps locking up after about 100 songs, regardless of how I add them, en block or even a dozen at a time. I even tried different songs randomly and it still doesn't work.

So, any ideas on how to reimport the music so I can add it to the iPod?

It always fails at the first 100 songs, each and every time? If so that's pretty strange. If it chokes on the first 100 songs you try to import, have you tried importing 100 songs after that? Maybe the 100th song in the group you keep trying to import is corrupted.
