I just want to ask if i have a unix server and i want to install an oracle database on it? how can i connect windows client to that unix server?

The application i use was written using VB and it resides on the client so is there a way to connect to UNIX. Should i use oleDB or odbc to connect to that fat A$$ server

I think you're asking this question in the wrong forum - you should probably go fin d a database forum somewhere. In short though, you shoudl create an ODBC link to the server in the Control Panel on the Windows machine and then point the client application to the link.
