I have an ibook g4 800 mhz and just need a basic photo editing program to make graphics for a website, which I can't do with iphoto. I found it for 38 bucks online here...

http://store.purplus.net/adphel3wlomo.html

but it says...

Macintosh:
Mac OS X v.10.2.8 or v.10.3 ONLY!
Users with earlier versions of Mac OS, should purchase v.2 instead, also available HERE
PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
256 MB of RAM
200 MB of available hard-disk space
1,024x768 16-bit (XGA) display
CD-ROM drive

http://gimp-app.sourceforge.net/

it requires that X11 be installed from the OS X install disc, but if you've already got it installed or have your disc handy i'd highly recommend trying the gimp before spending money on a 'lite' version of PS

That's exactly what I bought from Purplus, and it works just fine (as well as a great price.) Version 4.0 for the Mac has been promised for sometime (Windows version 4.0 is already out) but this is a great price and it'll qualify for upgrade pricing. The serial number is good for both PC and Mac.

Just be aware that the installation CD is inside the mini-camera packaging.

Not an iBook question.
