I posted about this exact same subject quite a while back, but I didn't get a solid response.
Three years ago!

I think the best option is just to borrow a friend's windows box and get tons of freeware out there that will do this, or grab a pencil and paper and get workin, which is what I did. Made a perfect 1 cu in. box for my home theater. The sub has since blown...sad.

This is bullshit. Macs are supposed to be superior sound machines.

So learn to program and make Mac speaker design software. Macs may be a niche market, but I think speaker design is a much smaller niche.

Hm...was this perhaps a decoy to throw off the fact that it's Rob again?

Probably not.

He's shown interest in audio in the past. This is not out of character for him at all.

Either way the Lounge is the wrong place for this question.

Not really, lots of audiophiles in here. And I don't decoy. I just don't care. I'm interested in building a set of speakers for the bedroom, pretty small ones powered by a vintage marantz receiever or amp.

I have a copy of MacSpk 3.5 that works fine in OS9, has more inputs and parameters then any other simulating software that I have used.

If you want a copy of it feel free to hit me up.

Also there's a few Excel files that do similar things but not nearly as simply and elegantly as stand alone software.

BTW what are you planing to build?

I GOT WASTED WITH PHIL SHERRY!!!

Bedroom speakers. Small. Like bookshelfs, maybe single drivers based off these plans:

Power would be a low powered marantz receiver. Haven't bought it yet, just waiting for the right one. Preferably finding it local would be best since they're so freaking heavy.
