My 2 1/2 year old 20" Cinema display has started making a quiet but irritating whine. I know they can do this when warming up the backlight, but mine continues as long as it's on. It seems to stop when something's moving on-screen - scrolling a web page, for example, but as soon as I stop whatever movement I was doing, the whine is back.

Has anyone seen this, and is there any hope of fixing it, or is this just a fact of life for an aging LCD?

Do you have a G5? I know they had issues with chirping and graphics or something.
