Bathtime for your dog:
Wet animal's coat with warm water. Apply shampoo and rub until obtaining lather. Rinse with plenty of warm water and dry.

I've found staples and finish nails work excellent for securing animals in a photo shoot, but I'll give the velcro a try. Thanks for the tip.
