I have an ibook, running 10.4 that cannot browse web pages. I can ping anything and get a response (Google), as well as browse internal network pages, i.e. a linksys router info page, but it will not retrieve web pages beyond the router. I've checked for proxies, dns, and anything i can come up with. All other computer on the network function normally. Any ideas ? could this be a routing table thing ?

It's not pulling down the right DNS address from your router. Do other computers using the router work correctly? What type of connection is it?

yes everything else works fine on the network. The problem exists on airport or Ethernet.
