During the week, we highlight quite a few offers you can get from the MacNN Deals store, and sometimes people simply miss out on some great deals. In this recap, we will point out some of the more impressive deals from earlier this week, some that are still available for you to purchase if you are quick. At this late stage, it's best to warn you that these will almost certainly arrive too late to give as gifts, but hey, think of them as a way to treat yourself after all that hard work celebrating with (or tolerating) the family...

At the start of the week, we highlighted possibly one of the best things you could get as a gift if you happen to be a small child, or just like robotics. The Alpha 1s Humanoid Robot is an 8-pound machine that includes 16 joints for a wide range of movement, including yoga and kung fu moves, and dancing. Controllable over Bluetooth 4.0 and compatible with iOS and Android mobile apps, the robot also includes software that allows you to quickly create your own movement routines for the robot to carry out. This $800 is still available over this weekend, priced at $70.

Included in Tuesday's "lost item" post, the iHere 3.0 Tracking Device is a simple addition to your keychain that can help you discover where it is. Using a companion app, it can be tracked at a distance of up to 75 feet, can can sound an alarm when you are close to it. Complete with a separation alert if moved away from a connected smartphone, a battery life of several weeks, and a remote control shutter function, it is down from $50 to $23, with free shipping.

If Apple's $99 Smart Battery Case is a bit too expensive for you, have a look at the eyn Power Case for iPhone 6/6s. This protective case includes a 3,000mAh battery that offers up to 15 hours of talk time, 12 hours of media streaming, and over 60 hours of music playback, with a number of LEDs on the front showing how much power is left. Previously listed at $50, you can get it for $35 with free shipping.

On Thursday, our Big Deal was the Pay What You Want: White Hack Hacker Bundle, which gave you the chance to learn about the important world of security and penetration testing. Paying anything gets you the Cross Site Scripting (XSS) Attacks for Pentesters and Node.js Security: Pentesting and Exploitation courses, but beat the average (of just over $12) to get five more, covering ethical hacking, Wi-Fi hacking, Windows exploit development, and "The Complete Hacking Course," totalling over 60 hours of tuition.

Lastly, Friday included a long list of potential gifts you could offer your loved ones that you could get on time if you ordered straight away, and if you were really lucky with the postal delivery network. While it is pretty much too late to order anything from the list and expect to get it on time, it's still worth a look for things you want. Maybe the Jamstik Wireless Smart Guitar for $150 takes your fancy, or the Lytro Illum Camera, or even the DIY AT-AT Cable Organizer & Card Case for $35.
