Ambrosia Software, Inc. released today Deimos Rising, the much-anticipated sequel to the smash hit Mars Rising. Deimos Rising is a fast-action, smooth-scrolling, heart-stopping, arcade-style game that's sure to hyphenate your social life:

This sequel is about revenge. And not yours. Mars Rising's big brother is here, and he's pissed off. David Wareing has once again crafted a masterpiece of twitch gaming bliss that combines killer graphics, sounds, music, and action into an experience that'll leave you breathless.

I got there early and used the direct link, but it kept cutting me off early. Nosed my way into the ftp site, and shebang. ftp.ambrosiasw.com is worth a shot. Granted, d/ling from their mac homepage saves them in transfer cost..

I had trouble downloading it using OmniWeb, but using wget from the command line ("wget <A HREF="http://homepage.mac.com/ambrosia/DeimosRising.sit")" TARGET=_blank>http://homepage.mac.com/ambrosia/DeimosRising.sit")</A> worked fine. The download actually aborted a couple of times but wget will automatically reconnect and restart from where it left off.

Have you tried to re-d/l it? It unstuffed w/ no problems for me. If you have a broadband connection, I guess I could send you it unstuffed. It's just over 106 MB though.

I had this problem when I tried to download it last night, and re-downloading didn't help.

It worked when I tried it today, so perhaps they fixed whatever was causing the problem.

Hey moki!

What about game pad support?

I'm gonna try to scrounge up the cash to buy it, but this is a classic arcade style game, as such I would love to be able to play via game pad instead of keyboard. Makes two player much easier also, two game pads or just one and the other person has the keyboard to their self.

If you are having trouble downloading Deimos Rising, you might also want to try the MacGameFiles.com mirror here:
