I was watching a DVD, and there was a RED DOT.


THATS A DEAD PIX RIGHT ...... HOW CAN YOU TEST IT

This is a very unscientific method, but it has actually worked for me in the past. I take absolutely no responsibility for any damage you may do to your computer by taking this advice.

1. Turn your computer off.

2. Place your thumb in a soft cloth, like a cotton washcloth.

3. Grasp the screen with your free hand and gently rub the area where the pixel anomaly is occurring with your thumb. Don't press too hard -- just massage gently. Do this for about 5 seconds or so.

4. Turn your computer back on.

If this doesn't work, the pixel is just blown and there's nothing that I know of that you can do to fix it. Sorry.
