Hey guy's I was just wondering what I need to hook up a external monitor to my macbook, im am going to be purchasing a new monitor today and would like to know what adapters are needed. Also is the apple adapter the only one I can use or are there other options. The reason for this is because the neared apple store is a hour away and I would like to just go to best buy and pick my monitor/adapter up.

You'll either need a Mini-DVI to VGA or Mini-DVI to DVI adapter, either of which can be bought at the Apple store online on in a store.
