Late 2013 iMac stuck on “setting up” after Catalina update.

As I sit here, my iMac is stuck on the setting up screen. Search results are telling me to power down, unplug for 15 seconds, plug back in, restart. Is that correct?

Which setting-up screen? The final one, before a new account opens? If so, that advice sounds OK.
If you mean selecting the drive to install to, or choosing the OS install options, I'd want more info.

It was the final screen. I powered down and unplugged etc. All is well now.
