I just updated to mac os x 10.5.1 because i messed up my computer by accidentally deleting the utility folder. The upgrade fixed that problem perfectly. However now when my computer is in standby or I am away from my computer for awhile when I come back the fan is running like a jet engine and there is a message on my screen...(sometimes) that Mac OS x quit unexpectedly and I need to restart.

When I restarted here was the error message they gave me.

Any ideas what could be going on? I don't want my computer to take a dump.

Oh on a second note....a problem that I have yet to resolve... Every time I restart my computer when Mac OS is fully loaded my monitor looks like it's displaying the colors all jacked up like some photographic art or like 16 bit color with a reverse effect. THe only way I can fix it is by unplugging my monitor from the back of the computer and plugging it back in again. It works every time but I don't think its normal??

Any help would be awesome.

It's pointing to Firewire, which you probably already know. What Firewire devices do you have connected?

It is pointing to firewire. I see you have an iSight and some other unknown devices, what are they and are they working? Also, why not update to 10.5.2.

That's the thing, I only have my isight plugged in and it works fine. My monitor has ports on it for firewire and usb, I just connected the hub (monitor) wiring harness to the computer. Maybe they are related to my monitor problem as well?

Yeah so to re-cap the only firewire device I have is I SIGHT camera and it worked fine. I have since unplugged it from my computer. My monitor's wiring harness for the hub is still connected to my computer.

Well lets see how it goes without the iSight, if it still has problems, you can unplug the monitors firewire hub.
