I have a 2004 1.25GHz PowerBook G4 runnning 10.4.5. A few days ago, it started to lock up after about 30 seconds on battery power. If I restart , everything boots up normally, I get to my desktop, and then it locks up after about 30 seconds (can't move mouse, or do anything, but I can still see the desktop) I have no problems at all when I'm plugged in.

Things I've done recently:

1. Installed a new 512MB DIMM bringing me to 1GB total RAM
2. Added a new wireless network
3. Repaired my permissions and my disk
4. Added a Dell printer utility

I'm tempted to blame it on the new RAM, but since I can run normally when I'm on AC power, I think there might be something funkier going on. Any ideas?

I took the new RAM out and no more lock ups. Just didn't have time to do it until now. So, is it probable that I just got bad memory (I bought it at the Apple Store), or is there something else that might be causing the problem?
