= baxillion dollaros,

May be old. TFB

What may be the largest investor fraud committed by a single person may have been hatched on a Mac.

These are shots are from ABC’s 20/20 recent special about Bernie Madoff, showing him in his Manhattan penthouse whiling away the hours (without remorse, they suggest) on a MacBook Pro.

He'll probably claim that he didn't know he was committing such massive fraud because of all of the glare on his glossy screen.

Is anyone else creeped out by the photos? Talk about spying. Sure the guy is pure sleaze, but that kind of voyeurism is sickening.

Why is this news at all? Would anyone have cared if he used Windows? Or did we all assume OS X was impenetrable to d*****bag users?

Not any more than the usual "celebrity" hounding. Looking at someone by a window in a lit room at nighttime isn't spying.*

Snapping photos of Woz taking a leak? Different story.

* For this very reason, our curtains are always drawn, except when ruffled by an open window, which only happens in the daytime. If we have to open the windows at night, we clothespin them together. We're not celebrities, but if you want privacy you kinda sorta have to make an attempt to be private.
