I downloaded a few fonts yesterday and installed them in the ~/Library/Fonts folder. How do I get those fonts to show up in the fonts menu in Silk to use them as the system fonts? I haven't registered yet (if that makes a difference).
Thanks for any thoughts.

quit an open program, and try it again.. sometimes you need to restart a program for the change to take affect in that particular program.

Ok first off your just supposed to click on the fonts and then it'll open fontbook and ask you to install them... i suggest you shut down your computer and then open silk.. browse to the font you want and your done easy as that

I think you need a logout/login for that to work, not sure though.
Open Terminal and type
defaults remove com.unsanity.Silk "Font Cache"
and hit Return
Instant fix
