Here's the annual iMac coloring book.

Post your favorite iMac colors and colors you'd like to see on the next iMac.

I think a perfectly clear iMac would rule. Bump the G3 to 700 megahertz or more, and then, you have a perfect, professional-looking iMac. A flat-screen CRT would be nice, and an integration of DVD and CD-RW into a new slot-loading drive would make "prosumers" happy.

The iMac is in for a chassis change, anyway.

Post away! Crazy ideas and sane ideas are welcome.

The Black iMac is a little (well, a lot) shoddy because I rushed it.

Plasma

Wave

Blood
It looks too much like Ruby, but take a look anyway if you like.

I like the most of the colors, what I want is a new form factor -

I want a tablet based Mac that has a camera, dvd drive and stereo speakers and at least 5 hours of battery life. It could Airport into the base/charging cradle for local net access or plug into it for recharging and use as a desktop monitor. The base could have a big hard drive, a keyboard and two button cordless optical mouse.

Take the touch screen monitor/tablet out of the recharging base and it's the world's coolest tablet sized PDA. With a near full size onscreen keyboard and the ability to do Photoshop work right on the screen.

So who did? Can't you let us know where you found it and give props to the author? At first I thought this looked like the work of Applele but although there are some gorgeous LCD iMacs there, nothing like this. I think this one is beautiful, and I hope Apple takes this design seriously.

Actually, now that I think about it, this is clearly thew work of pscates. This is your best work yet, Paul. Keep it up. I still prefer FreeHand, though.

Hey Sean, I want a war to break out in Iraq and for the US Army to lower its enlistment age... but it is not going to happen, bub. =]

That is all.

Actually, now that I have given it some serious thought, they should make the iMacs lighter and less bulky. I mean, it has that funky handle on the back for a reason, right? To be mobile right? Or is it there so you can attach a rope and use the computer as an anchor? =p Anyway, back to the whole thing about being lighter and such, being more convenient to move around would encourage LAN parties and such =]. ...or the use of iMacs as portable battering rams. Either one is cool for me.

Note: That last message did indeed carry a somewhat distorted serious idea. The iMac (I believe) was supposed to be a cheap, ready to go platform that anyone could use. No point in making a "professional-looking" one because you could just buy an overpriced G4 tower. Basically, you cannot change the element of the iMac... the purpose it was designed to fufill.

That is all.
