Cookie for whoever knows which song these lyrics are from (one of my all time favourites) :

Dead I am the pool, spreading from the fool
Weak and want you need, nowhere as you bleed
Dead I am the rat, feast upon the cat
Tender is the fur, dying as you purr

Rob Zombie was "the guy" who got me into metal back in elementary school, I almost forgot about him too. Im sure if it weren't for him, I would have never expanded into KMFDM, NIN, Tool, Skinny Puppy, Legendary Pink Dots etc.

I owe much to this strange man.

Oh and Dragula is so famous that anyone can tell you the lyrics

Skinny Puppy is the best. Saw 'em twice in concert before Goettel did his last smack dance and before Ogre decide he could sing. Awesome.

Rob Zombie is a tame Ministry knock-off. Al Jourgenson is way edgier than poor, pedestrian Rob. All that being said, Rob iz kool. But he could never pull off 'Jesus built my Hotrod' (Ministry and Gabby from the Butt Hole Surfers... one great song!).

Rev, my god when Al did Jesus Build My Hot Rod in concert a few wees ago... damn. I could not have asked for a better performance, only better opening bands

Oh yeah sorry to derail, Uhm yes... I insist you check out ministry, KMFDM; only their older stuff, after 20 years they've kinda lost their touch in my opinion. Skinny Puppy is has and ever will be the best!

I first got into Zombie when I first started playing Grand Tourismo 2 on PS one. Great game, even better sound track.

I have all the White/Rob Zombies. He's up there in my book with AC/DC, The Who, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin. I think mostly cuz I'm a sucker for a horror flick and he models his music around the genre. It's fun.

If you're a sucker for a horror flick, then you do need to check out Skinny Puppy and Ministry. It's nightmarishly good.

For Skinny Puppy I'd recommend the albums Mind:The Perpetual Intercourse, VivisectVI (VivisectVI = vivisect 6 = 6 6 sect 6, nice way of working 666 into an album title...), Rabies, Too Dark Park, Last Rights. Stay away from The Process

For Ministry I'd go with The Mind is a terrible thing to Taste and Psalm 69. Stay away from With Sympathy (which the creative force behind Ministry literally calls an abortion of an album).

Heard 'em both. Ministry's OK, don't care for Skinny Puppy.
