Boot OSX from cutie drive to iBook

	I have searched the forums but can't find the answer. I just purchased a 30GB Cutie drive selfpowered firewire drive. I instaled 10.2 and it booted ok from my DViMAC 400. Then i plugged it in to my daughters 700 256mb iBook (0S9 only) restarted the iBook holding down the option key chose System 10 on the external drive the iBook booted but the screen graphics were black & white out of focus and 640 x 480 screen with a large black border. What have i done wrong? I restarted the iBook in OS9 and it was fine Jon
