Title says it all. I installed Panther and X11 and went to compile something and there's no 'make' command.

%>which make gives:
no mysql in /bin /sbin /usr/bin /usr/sbin

Did I miss installing something?

Did you install the developer tools? They aren't installed by default. You can get them at Apple or they should be on a separate disk that came with OSX. You'll probably want to upgrade them to the latest release anyway.

Did you install the developer's tools? You'll need that for all the good gnu/bsd stuffs.

Not only is there no "make" before you've installed the Developer Tools, but there are also no compilers. :-)

If you have legitimately obtained Panther, the Developer Tools for Panther are available from the same source as Panther.

Hmmm,

You must have the 3 CD version of Panther. The 4 CD version won't be available until Friday evening, unless your delivery comes early.
