Hello

I'm selling my beloved 667 Ti Powerbook to a coworker. I've used this computer a lot for personal stuff over the years. I'm not very computer savvy and I'm wondering what(if anything?) I need to do to make sure my info is not accessible. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

No need to double post.

Sorry about that. Was not sure which forum to put it in. Can I delete this one?

Zero the drive. There should be an option in Disk Utility (which you can run from the OS X installer)

If you have extremely sensitive data that absolutely, positively must not be read by others, do an 8-Way Random Write Format in Disk Utility. Be warned that this will take a long time to finish. For data that's only semi-sensitive, a Zero All Data should be enough.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
